It’s hard to believe that nearly nine months have already passed
since Bozeman Health and Bozeman Health Foundation launched Caring Forward—the
Campaign for a Healthier Community on a beautiful day in April of this
past year. As a successful 2018 came to a close, and as we shifted our
shared focus toward a promising 2019, our team of dedicated volunteer
leaders and staff members proudly crossed the $14 million mark, moving
us closer to our $15 million goal. We hope to reach this goal by the end
of 2019, and with donors being able to have both traditional pledges and
deferred estate commitments (from those who are 65 or older) count toward
our totals, we know we can get there. Thank you for your inspired generosity;
it’s been your giving that has helped us to come so far so fast.
Despite our success across campaign priorities, we’re ramping up
our focus on the vital charitable funding still needed in support of the
ICU and NICU, our two primary capital projects. Bozeman Health is investing
significantly in both of these, while still pointedly counting on charitable
support to help ensure we deliver on our promise of top quality construction,
state-of-the-art equipment, and the kinds of settings that allow patients
and families to realize the best possible care.
We’re making great progress on the two major capital projects at
our Deaconess Hospital campus. Dedicated (and often cold) crews have been
moving dirt to create the new patient care tower which contains the ICU,
with exterior walls being removed in anticipation of foundations and steel
going in. The ICU’s floor plan has been finalized, the new main
entry and expanded sanctuary will soon
welcome patients and team members warmly and with wayfinding ease. In
anticipation of renovation beginning on our NICU and Family Birth Center,
our Women’s Specialists clinic space is relocating to the fifth
floor of the newly designated Women’s and Children’s Tower
that is currently known as Highland Park 4. Experienced members of our
care team are finalizing designs of that renovation. We feel we’re
still on target for a 2020 opening for both!
We’re truly grateful to each and every one of you for the generosity
you’ve shown to Bozeman Health and the Caring Forward Campaign.
Thank you! As the public phase of this ambitious effort continues, we
still need your help. Do you know of others whose lives have been touched
in positive ways by Bozeman Health? Will you share your story, your motivations
for giving so generously, and help us to invite them to support Bozeman
Health as well? As you well know, most people choose to give to important
nonprofit organizations like Bozeman Health because someone asked them.
Have ideas? We’re here to help and every gift matters.
