Executive Vice President of Philanthropy
Jason Smith joined Bozeman Health Foundation in January 2015 as their Executive
Vice President of Philanthropy. Jason spent more than two decades with
mission-driven organizations in the US and around the world before returning
to Bozeman in 2012 to serve as Vice President of External Relations for
MSU’s Alumni Foundation. During that time, he led global corporate
communications for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent
Societies (IFRC) in Geneva, Switzerland, following a stint in Kuala Lumpur,
Malaysia running communications and humanitarian diplomacy programs in
their Asia Pacific zone. He served for more than ten years as Chief Executive
Officer for large American Red Cross chapters in Texas and California.
Jason is a graduate of the DiploFoundation’s International Humanitarian
Diplomacy program and has degrees in Political Science and English from
Montana State University. He serves on the boards of the Bozeman Sunrise
Rotary Club and Iqra Fund, a Bozeman-based international nonprofit organization
that provides educational opportunities for girls in Pakistan. Jason’s
wife, Karen, is operations manager and a faculty member at Montana Ballet
Company. Jason and Karen have two children, Emerson and Allegra.
Manager of Corporate and Foundation Relations
Ann has been with Bozeman Health Foundation since 2002. As manager of the
corporate and foundation relations program, she enjoys building, maintaining,
and stewarding partnerships with the businesses and foundations that support
great healthcare in our region. Additional responsibilities include database
management, prospect research, and grant writing. A Montana native, she
was born at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital and raised in Bozeman. Ann received
her Bachelor’s degree in Business with a Marketing Option from MSU-Bozeman.
Ann and her husband Tom enjoy hiking, cross country skiing, gardening,
and spending time with their dog.
Manager of Special Events and Communications
Lydia joins the Bozeman Health Foundation as the Manager of Special Events
and Communications. Another Montana native, Lydia is originally from Great
Falls and moved to Bozeman after graduating from Eastern Washington University
where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Communications. Her passion
for event planning began in high school and has continued over the years
with several different fundraisers and organizations. Lydia and her husband
Tyler enjoy college basketball as they are devoted North Carolina Tar
Heel fans. She also enjoys camping, hiking and baking with her daughter Lilly.
Mindy moved from Pennsylvania to Montana in July 2015 and joins us after
three years of working in the Conference and Event Services Department
at Montana State University. Mindy received her Bachelor’s degree
in Public Relations from Westminster College in Pennsylvania. She is excited
to start her new role with the Bozeman Health Foundation and has extensive
experience in the customer service and planning industry. Outside of work,
you can find Mindy and her husband Matt hiking, skiing, fishing and spending
time with their four legged felines!

Directors. Bozeman Health Foundation is privileged to have one of the
