Executive Vice President of Philanthropy
Jason Smith joined Bozeman Health Foundation in January 2015 as their Executive
Vice President of Philanthropy. Jason spent more than two decades with
mission-driven organizations in the US and around the world before returning
to Bozeman in 2012 to serve as Vice President of External Relations for
MSU’s Alumni Foundation. During that time, he led global corporate
communications for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent
Societies (IFRC) in Geneva, Switzerland, following a stint in Kuala Lumpur,
Malaysia running communications and humanitarian diplomacy programs in
their Asia Pacific zone. He served for more than ten years as Chief Executive
Officer for large American Red Cross chapters in Texas and California.
Jason is a graduate of the DiploFoundation’s International Humanitarian
Diplomacy program and has degrees in Political Science and English from
Montana State University. He serves on the boards of the Bozeman Sunrise
Rotary Club and Iqra Fund, a Bozeman-based international nonprofit organization
that provides educational opportunities for girls in Pakistan. Jason’s
wife, Karen, is operations manager and a faculty member at Montana Ballet
Company. Jason and Karen have two children, Emerson and Allegra.
Manager of Annual Giving and Special Events
Andrea joined Bozeman Health Foundation in 2009. A Montana native, Andrea
has worked as a professional fund raiser in Bozeman since 2005. She received
her BA in English Literature from MSU-Bozeman. Andrea specializes in Annual
Giving and Special Event fundraising for the foundation which includes
various internal hospital campaigns, communications by mail, social media
and the foundations signature event Hospitality. Andrea’s hobbies
include spending time with her family, cooking, gardening and enjoying
a good book.
Manager of Corporate and Foundation Relations
Ann has been with Bozeman Health Foundation since 2002. Her responsibilities
at the foundation include database management, prospect research, grant
writing, and administrative and financial support. Another Montana native,
she was born at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital and raised in Bozeman. Ann
received her Bachelor’s degree in Business with a Marketing Option
from MSU-Bozeman. Ann and her husband Tom enjoy hiking, cross country
skiing, gardening, and experimenting with new recipes.
Sarah is a Montana native and joins us after having worked successfully
for the past three years in public accounting at Wipfli. She obtained
her bachelors in Economics from Connecticut College and her masters in
Professional Accountancy from Montana State University. She is a CPA with
experience in volunteer leadership, non-profit accounting, tax and audit
services. She is excited to use her talents, energy and accounting background
with our organization. She enjoys hiking, dancing and horseback riding.
